 History
The Foundry Pietro Possani was born May 25, 1962 and
took the name after its founder, even if the activity had
already begun in early Fifties
The Foundry was dedicated to the fusion of non ferrous
metals like Aluminium, Magnesium, Bronze, Brass, Zinc and
Copper.
Initially it was a foundry on the ground with the use of
wooden models.
Afterwards it began to melt in shell using stamps in steel.
Over the years the Foundry Pietro Possani has
specialized in the production of Sacrificial anodes in
Magnesium, Aluminium and Zinc.
Production
Currently our primary production is concentrated in the
fusion of Sacrificial anodes not only for the naval sector
but also for boilers, platforms of perforation, wharves,
boats, construction industry and more. |
We can moreover produce, besides the Sacrificial anodes,
Mechanical Casts with the following materials:
Aluminium Alloy UNI 47000-UNI 44100 and other types
Pure electrolytic zinc, for the execution of galvanic Anodes
and Sacrificials of any type
Pure magnesium alloys MGN1 - AZ63 - AZ91 for mechanical
parts packed and welded anodes.
On request mechanical machining is carried out. |
Machinery
We have:
7 furnaces with capacity of up to 700 Kg.
7 casting machines for the fusion with shells in steel
